Edgar Allan Poe is best known today as one of the most intelligent and original writers in American literature. Many poets and story writers base their stories upon events and even aspects in their life. In the subject of this, it is so relatable to write about because there is some truth in the words. Edgar Allan Poe is said to be one of these people because his stories actually relate to his tragic, life. He was known for leading a very depressing life that was full of loss and grief of loved ones. Therefore because of this, Poe suffered most of his life. He turned to his passion of poetry to help him. Poe wrote many stories and poems that both reflected and represented his life that he lived. Even though her performances became less frequent, she stopped appearing altogether in October 1911. Elizaââ¬â¢s last performance was on October 11, 1811. She played Countless Wintersen in a play called The Stranger. When Edgar was first born, Poeââ¬â¢s father took to drink and left his family. Furthermore, between engagements in Virginia, Eliza came down with tuberculosis and soon died, with Edgar Allan Poe watching. The young boy was then taken in by Francis Allan, a childless wife of John Allan. When he moved to England for several years, he took his wife and Edgar, only five years of age, and put the boy in a boarding school. Afterwards, he sent Edgar to the University of Virginia where he found himself among wealthy plantersââ¬â¢ sons who dressed well and loved to gamble. Edgar enlisted in the army and also persuaded Allan to support his entry to the U.S Military Academy at West Point. . In the year of 1831, Poe moved in with his aunt. His auntââ¬â¢s name is Maria Clemm and she had a nine year old daughter named Virginia. Four years later, Poe married his cousin. Virginia was trained as a singer and when she was twenty-three became sick with tuberculosis. She died right before Edgarââ¬â¢s eyes.
